CHALK4PEACE and Paradigm Pictures attended Drawing FergUSon Together: A Vision of Peace at the St. Louis Community College, Florissant Valley Sept. 18-19, 2015. Paul Westmacott and I traveled to Ferguson, MO to participate in their Social Justice Summit and CHALK4PEACE Community Celebration. Paul filmed countless interviews and sessions and I delivered the Keynote speech; and, with my new friend William, drew the the 30′ peace symbol the community filled in with messages and visions of peace…and they did not stop there- by the end of Saturday, the entire plaza around Tony Cragg’s Taurus sculpture was covered with peace, love and hope. Shout outs to Allieze Ruby Curry, Janice Nesser-Chu, Larhonda Wilson, Annie Wagganer, Terry Freeman, LM Oliver, Wesley JC Bell, Paul W., Dawn Chapman, Christine Ilewski-Huelsman, Neko, MK, Joshua, Paul, Brandon, William, Carol, Eric, Nick, Michael, Clarence, WGNU, and a slew of others who made this event a true highlight in the decade of CHALK4PEACE. It has been an honor to take part in a healing ceremony in Ferguson, Missouri.
CHALK4PEACE and Paradigm Pictures are making a documentary film of this event and the C4P events leading up to this Summit. Called CHALK4PEACE: Drawing Ferguson Together, we are in the post production process and are in the next phase of fundraising since our Indiegogo Crowdfunding campaign.
